How it works
1. The Pen And Paper Campaign is inviting the tourists travelling to the Gambia to bring stationery in their luggage with the motto
“Don’t travel empty, donate stationery”
Donations include: exercise books, chalks, pens, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, etc.
Other donations like toys, clothes, footballs, toothbrushs are also accespted when given with the right spirit!
–> If you didn’t bring donations with you, don’t panic! We have listed local stationery shops -> Check below! —
2. Donations are welcome at designated “Collection Points” in every participating hotel or touristic locations.

3. Our team of local volunteers regularly collect donations, organize stock lists and distribute donations equally to each school ensuring that donations reach directly the targeted teachers and pupils.
Both volunteers and school referents are local people, recruited for their motivation, honesty and reliability amongst school teachers and workers as well as responsive individuals passionate about this project, about education and/or the development of their country and its population.
4. Donors are invited to leave their details at the Collection Point, so we can keep them up to date with the Campaign.
IF YOU DIDN’T BRING DONATIONS IN YOUR LUGGAGE, DON’T PANIC!
You can find stationery in local shops in KAIRABA AVENUE, SENEGAMBIA and SERREKUNDA MARKET:
